Hey everyone, I would like the kvirc client to play a sound either when someone uses a /notice #channel command or whenever my name comes up in the channel. Played around with it for a while now but can't figure it out by myself.

Can anyone help me with this pls???

thx

KVIrc Options -> General Options -> Sound

notice channel command? you could write that command on highlight, else you have to configure/script it on an event and snd.play command in eventhandler

you need no script for highlight sound, that is already implemented under "Options -> general -> sound"
But with snd.play you may play sounds on every event you want Wink

I am sorry if this is a total n00b question, but, my old client could be configured to play a sound any time a new line was entered into a room, is there a way in KVIrc 4.0.4 to do this?

in events editor under OnChannelMessage add a handler and use either of the following
snd.play [-q|quiet] <filename>
or
beep [-p=<pitch>] [-d=<duration>] [-s] [;volume]
