Hello!

I have a question:
I tried to connect to a Server without SSL, and everything worked fine. Then I tried to join a Channel - this Message appeared:
"Cannot join channel (+S) - SSL/TLS connection required."

Okay, I disconnected, enabled SSL und tried again, now I can't connect anyway (hopefully good translated^^):
Hostname resolved
Server IP X.x.X.X
Server contacted @Port 6667
Transportconnection tried at lower level
Started SSL Handshake
SSL Error: unknown protocol
Socket Error: An Secure Sockets Layer Error occured
connection aborted

Whats the problem, and how can I solve it?

Usually IRC servers serve SSL connections on a port other than nonSSL. So instead of 6667 try 6697. If this doesn't do the trick - google about this server or ask people on it.

or if you need help finding the right port, tell us the network.

9999, 7000, 7070 and 6669 are also often the SSL ports.

The webpage of the network should tell you. e.g.
