I'm running Windows 7 32bit and KVIrc 4.0.0 Insomnia and I observed the following 2 issues:

1. When restoring after minimizing the program screen is totally blank white until closed and restarted.

2. The Icon Table never changes no matter which theme is loaded.

I'm having the same issue, except it doesn't fix itself when I restart or reinstall. I'm using windows 7 x64. When I first installed kvirc it worked fine, but now I can't use it at all. It won't restore.

I really like kvirc, so if anyone has a solution I'd be very grateful.

Have been using KVIrc-4.0.0-rc2-r3900-full on Windows 7 x64 several days and still haven't got any problems.
Though I installed it over ver 3.4.2 - may be it is possible solution for you: completely remove ver.4 (clear all KVirc folders in Program Files and/or Documents and Settings), then install ver. 3.4.2 and install ver.4 over it.

Oh, with KVirc updated this way I got it crashed every time I try to close child window (help index, alias editor etc.).
Clean installation with default theme does not crash. Nor does it hang after minimizing/restoring.
