i am using kvirc 4.1.1 r5000 equilibrium on linux.

for some weeks now, i have the problem that kvirc does not remember the width for the nicklist (and the spacer between the topic and the channel mode bar) for two of my channels. iirc it also happened for a third one, but only twice. the two channels are always the same, they're not the last ones added to the autojoin-list of the server and it does not happen for channels added to auto-join after the problem arised.
i have absolutely no idea where to start for solving this problem...it's just pretty annoying since the nicklist is always set to fit for the top-most nick - and that's a very short one in both channels.

i hope someone can give me a hint on where to start solving this.

Try saving settings and saving window properties after properly resizing your interface: the former is done via Settings - Save Settings, the latter - via channel's context menu in channel tree

4.1.1 has no save config button, because pragma said it is not needed, auto-save on exit…
Code:
/config.write
is possible

in
Code:
/echo $file.localdir(config)
should be a winproperties.kvc

That file got sometimes broken and the nicklist had wrong width, you could delete this file while KVIrc is NOT running, to reset it. But that should only happen with old rev and old configs.

thank you very much for your help, deleting the winproperties.kvc did the trick.
i did actually update from an earlier revision some time before the problem arose, but i didn't think it was related to it, because it only happened for two chans.

Unfortunately I cant find winproperties.kvc in version 4.1.3. Its annoying that save settings was removed because clearly it doesnt save all settings.

It just looks bad when you have a rather thin nicklist and the channel mode window is rather wide. This is basic stuff that the devs need fix.
