KVIrc discussion / Configuration problems / Re: Change my text color

Sorry for replying on this thread so late. I forgot all about this query that I had asked.
I had used the code and it worked great.
I would like to suggest that instead of writing a code, this should be put in the Settings perhaps, so that users can change font color for the channel easily, rather than writing a code. Many people who are new to IRC clients, often ask for a client with which they can use a different color for their font. I want to tell them about Kvirc, but Kvirc doesn't have this feature. Its difficult to explain to general users to write code and all. So, if this is incorporated into the settings, that will be good, and will be an attraction for the users.
Kvirc is excellent, and I have been using it for years now, but many prefer mIRC because of the ease of use and the features, and fun scripts.
It would be great if there were useful and fun scripts, like nick tracker, funny slaps, etc in Kvirc too, so more people will be attracted to use Kvirc.
I do suggest Kvirc to people who are looking for an IRC client, whenever I can. Only thing is that with Kvirc, the fun features like font color, scripts, etc are missing, and therefore people go to mIRC.

if you want it for all ppl you have to write a "script" (1 line) in the event handlers, $k is the function for color.
But if you do that in a channel where I have op you will be banned after 2 lines! Yes, I want it for all people to see in a channel. Can you please tell what line do I have to write to achieve this, and where? Don't worry I won't use it on a channel where you are OP . I need it for ICQ . Thanks for the help. I know about the theme setting. But, it means only I will be able to see that. I want all to see the color.

Hi, Is there a feature in Kvirc, to change the color of my text which outputs in the channel? I know I can change text color by pressing Ctrl+K, and selecting a color. But, that works for only one sentence. How can I make it permanent, so that I do not have to choose everytime? I looked in Kvirc settings, and even theme settings, but cannot find anything. If this feature is not present in Kvirc, I would like to see this feature . Keep up the good work with Kvirc, its my luck that I came across it. Its wonderful. Thanks.

One more thing, when we delete a log using the log file reader, the log dosent get removed from the disk. And also it appears back in list, when log reader is again reopened.

Well, the error is the same as before i pasted in the first reply. The script seems to be having problem at the line : if(!$sw(r)) coz thats where it points to the error. Earlier too, the error pointed to same line.
If we remove the if condition, the command just works fine. But that makes ur lose the -r option of de-ignoring.

I am trying to use /ignore <nick> and it gives me the following error:
[KVS] Runtime Error: Missing non-optional parameter "long_name" [KVS] in script context "ignore", line 28, near character 5 [KVS] Runtime Error: Error in inner alias command call 'ignore', called from this context [KVS] in script context "commandline::kvs", line 1, near character 1
Can anyone help me with that?
I am using KVIRC snapshot 3.2.6 of 17/08/2007
Thanks
